About us . . .
Amanda Sloan
Amanda is a Business Psychologist and Performance and Team Coach with over 20 years’ experience consulting, coaching and facilitating internationally to clients across industry sectors including financial services, retail, professional services and elite sport.
Her approach is to build strong and supportive, yet challenging and collaborative relationships with all her clients, allowing her to gain the greatest personal insight into how their thinking, attitudes, and behaviour may be supporting or hindering their performance, achievement of goals, or fulfilment of life.
She believes human beings tend to work to a set of stories which impact how we view the world. It is all too easy to get stuck in old beliefs and habits, based on these stories. It is only by challenging our inner voices and critics that we make leaps forward that are surprising and transformative, creating sustainable breakthroughs in our performance and supporting transitions that are positive, impactful and sustainable.
Amanda is passionate about enabling people to effectively navigate significant transitions, to realise potential and to close development gaps, while helping the individuals and teams within those organisations feel more confident and collaborate more effectively, enabling them to perform and achieve at their highest level. She builds ongoing strategic partnerships with her clients. Amanda is someone who merges her academic and professional excellence with experience, natural creativity and empathy to create a seemingly effortless space for insights and positive action.
Amanda is a friend, wife to Pete (another psychologist) and a mum to two girls, who quite frankly don’t stand a chance with two psychologists as parents. She once could have been found tiger wrangling (no kidding), as a veterinary nurse. It’s a story we recommend you ask her about - it’s a good one!
She is described as someone who is calmly grounded in her magnetic energy for life, learning and fun.
Amanda has a BSc (first Class) Hons in Psychology and an MSc Occupational and Organisational Psychology. She is a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Member of the Registry of Coaching Psychologists, the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is a certified Lego Serious Play facilitator.
Leonie Corcoran
Leonie is an Editor, Coach, Trainer and Storyteller, with over 15 years of professional experience in the fast-paced media and communications world. Leonie’s belief in the power of communication and the impact of storytelling has informed a career that has spanned media, non-profit and corporate.
She has worked with regional and national organisations and is contributing editor at IMAGE Media. She spent almost a decade with The Irish Times as one of their youngest section editors; has acted as a consultant with the World Health Organisation, International Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement, Irish Forum for Global Health and CDAC Network; designed and delivered trainings to Irish Local Enterprise Offices, focusing on SMEs; is a university guest lecturer and regular writer for print and online media outlets. She has enjoyed assisting NGOs, entrepreneurs and SMEs to enhance their impact through effective storytelling and coherent messaging.
As an accredited brain-based (NeuroLeadership Foundation) and leadership coach (One of Many), she is particularly passionate about working with clients to assist them to find, trust and amplify their voice. In this space, her work is informed by the belief that self-image is often wrapped up in how we think others perceive us and it is only when we tune out the opinions and expectations of those around us, that we can begin to hear ourselves; to trust ourselves; and find our own powerful storyline, which we can actively choose to live. Across coaching, training and consulting, Leonie’s approach is grounded in compassion, directed curiosity and the use of powerful questioning to facilitate positive change.
Leonie is an optimistic pragmatist, a lover of nature and an explorer the mind and the world. She is also a friend, a sister and a doting (and fun!) aunt. She is from Ireland, living in Portugal and can often be found exploring trails with rescue dog Mutti. Leonie is often described as someone with endless energy, zest and unique viewpoint that she brings to people and projects. After shrugging this narrative off for years, it is now a story she owns with pride.
Leonie has a BA Journalism and MSc Humanitarian Action. She is an Accredited Coach and Trainer, a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a certified Lego Serious Play facilitator. She is the founder of LeoCo Collective.
